Can Albuquerque Sustain The Arts?

With the recent pull out of the Chicago-based entrepeneur owners of the now-folded Gorilla Tango Theater in downtown Abq. again comes the question, can Albuquerque sustain the arts? Albuquerque sits dead center in the Big I cross-haired interchange of I-25/I-40 literally making this high desert city a Crossroads' town. Folks are moving here faster than they are leaving but new comers are not all staying here. It is not Phoenix nor L.A. gone desert style; thank goodness. The high desert is not a place for everyone or so it seems.
Is Albuquerque, Santa Fe's 'armpit of the arts'...Is Albuquerque 'Seattle's Tacoma'? Is the green chile less good in Albuquerque than it is in Las Cruces, Chimayo, or Santa Faye? How are the schools and the crime rate? Can Governor Bill bring some good light to our national spotlight with his Presidential run? Is Albuquerque's 'Mayor Marty' bound for the Governor's seat?
So many questions...so little time...Similar thoughts at=>   http://www.FRESHCHAOS.com
